Oasis anunció que su nuevo cd, Dig Out Your Soul, saldrá el 6 de octubre. Según la BBC, su séptimo disco grabado en los estudio Abbey Road, de Londres, será precedido por el single “Shock Of The Lightening”, que saldrá a la venta el 29 de septiembre. Esta es la primera producción de los reyes del Britpop desde su disco anterior Don’t Relieve The Truth, de 2005. “I wanted to write music that had a groove”, dijo Noel Gallagher acerca del nuevo cd. “I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving. Songs that would draw you in, in a different way. Songs that you would maybe have to connect to - to feel”. ¿Y qué hay del nuevo single? “If ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ sounds instant and compelling to you, it’s because it was written dead fast. And recorded dead fast”, dijo el principal compositor de la banda.
